Series Overview

Conversations about performance that falls below the expected standards are often difficult. As such, it is important to spend time understanding how to identify and define poor performance, while being firmly rooted in frameworks and structures that enable consistent and effective responses to each performance issue.

How you enter a performance improvement interaction, what happens within it and how you conclude that interaction is extremely important; particularly in professions where the relational component of performance conversations, has significant implications for day-to-day dynamics in the aftermath. This session will explore guiding principles and their application.

Learning Outcomes

  • To identify and define key terms and frameworks in performance conversations.

The content will be the same across both platforms, however the online sessions would be spread over a longer period(run over 4 weeks – 2 hours a week). Each session will be of shorter duration(2 hours) to account for screen fatigue and the limitations of online learning.

In person sessions will be longer (4 hours – split into 2 hour sessions separated by a lunch break). The course duration will therefore be shorter (run over 2 weeks – 1 day a week)
